Maintaining independence is important for older people, particularly as their dependence on others grows. Your parent or other loved one may need extra help with day-to-day activities but prefer to remain in the comfort and familiarity of home. Wee Care can provide practical, emotional support for an aging relative on a part-time, full-time or 24-hour live-in basis. Companions are available for one time assignments or ongoing positions. Our experienced companions are warm and nurturing and will keep your loved one engaged and healthy. Our philosophy? We only place companions we would trust with our own parents.

All companions go through a rigorous application process, personal interview and background checks. Companions are not home health care aides or nurses.

Our experienced companions provide a range of non-medical services including:

• Companionship and conversation
  
• Driving to medical appointments and social functions
  
• Light housekeeping and laundry
  
• Shop for groceries and clothing
  
• Run errands
  
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals
  
• Organize visits with family and friends
  
• Plan trips and outings
  
• Organize deliveries, lawn care and snow removal

  Member Fees:
  

• Annual (365 days) membership fee in Wee Care Sitters: $199
  
• Daily booking fee: $25* per day or $395 per month (whichever is less)
  
• Holiday Booking Fee: $10 additional charge

  * Emergency Fee: additional $10 if less than 24 hours notice.

  Non-Member Fees:
  

• Daily Booking Fee: $45* per day
  
• Overnight care booking fee (dinner to breakfast): $50
  
• Round the clock (24 hour period) booking fee: $55
  
• Holiday Booking Fee: $15 additional charge

  * Emergency Fee: additional $15 if less than 24 hours notice.

What can I expect to pay my temporary companion? The rates companions charge will vary based on the caregiver’s experience, education, job details and number of individuals to be cared for. Generally, experienced companions earn between $14 and $18 per hour for temporary eldercare. Live-in companions generally earn between $150 and $250 per calendar day.
