WEE CARE LAUNCHES (CONTACT FREE) SHOPPING/DELIVERY SERVICE
During these challenging times, delivery options for groceries, medications, etc. have naturally become overtaxed, resulting in delays from several days to weeks for home delivery of essentials.
Wee Care is now providing members of our temporary service a reliable, trustworthy and faster option. With the help of our fully vetted career nannies, families can now get essentials delivered right to their home. After confirming your booking, a provider will collect your shopping list, bags, and form of payment (all contact free), and drive to your supermarket or pharmacy to shop. Upon completion of filling your order, they will deliver everything to your doorstep.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
What type of shopping will my provider do?
Essential shopping-groceries, medications, personal hygiene products, pet food, cleaning supplies etc.
Can I set the day and time for delivery of essential goods or have reoccurring drop off until the pandemic is over?
Yes, just call or email us, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Is there any contact with my provider?
No. If you are unable to place an order online for pickup or the wait time is too long, you simply leave your shopping order, bags and credit card taped to your door or under a mat at the designated time. The provider picks it up and drives directly to the store. Once the provider picks up your essentials, they will call you when en route to your home to say they will leave your supplies at your doorstep along with your receipt and credit card. If you placed your order already and paid for it, the provider will simply pick it up and drop it off at your front door
What if some items are brand or product specific?
No problem, be as detailed as possible with your shopping list and text a picture or link to the provider of the exact product(s) and size. You can list a substitute next to the item or tell the nanny to use her best judgment in choosing a substitute. If you only want a specific brand or product, state “no substitutes” next to the item. Please keep in mind some items may be unavailable.
Do I need to provide my car?
No, the provider will use her own vehicle.
Do I need to be a member of Wee Care’s back-up service?
You can use the service as a member or nonmember. Members pay a discounted booking fee. And if you’re currently employing a domestic you hired through Wee Care, the $199 annual membership is complimentary.
What do providers charge and how do I pay her while avoiding contact?
We don’t set the rate, but generally from $23 to $25 per hour. We will relay her rate upon confirmation. You can leave cash or a check in an envelope outside your door or Venmo the provider.
Can I trust the provider with my credit card?
Yes. All providers are legal to work, vetted and background checked. In fact, the providers are the same professional and dedicated nannies and housekeepers we have been placing in households since we started the agency in 2001.
Don’t members have to book an on-call provider for at least 4 or more hours?
Normally, yes but these are not normal times. You can now book a provider for as little as 3-hours. This generally provides enough time for commuting, shopping/waiting in lines and dropping off your essential supplies. In the event of long delays, you would compensate the provider for any additional time worked.
What about flattening the curve?
You are doing your part by staying home. And we try coordinating with our vast pool of local nannies to pick up essentials for members at times when they are purchasing necessities for themselves.
Are providers following CDC guidelines?
Yes. All providers shopping/delivering essentials are reminded about being vigilant in taking proactive steps to help prevent the spread of the virus.
Can I go with my provider or have them drive me?
No. We all want to practice physical distancing and limit contact as much as possible to reduce the spread of the virus.
Can I book my provider on my own?
No. As per our agreement, to avoid billing confusion or interfering with coordinating our provider’s delivery schedules, all future requests/bookings for services must go through the Agency.
What if I need to cancel my provider?
If you cancel with at least 24-hours’ notice, you only pay the booking fee. If you cancel with less than 24-hours’ notice, you would pay the provider for 3-hours work at the agreed upon rate.
How does the agency get paid?
As a member of our back-up service, just as when you would book an oncall nanny, housekeeper, senior companion etc., your card on file is charged a $25 booking fee at the time of confirmation. Non-members incur a $50 booking fee.
Wee Care Nanny made this extremely difficult and overwhelming task so much better. Mellisa took my feedback after the first round of candidates was interviewed (they were all great!) and really helped me narrow down my search. She never put any pressure on me to choose anyone in particular and was instrumental in helping me hire Bhianca quickly. We couldn't be happier.

We absolutely love working with Wee Care Nanny & Sitting Service. We moved last summer from the west coast and right away we were able to get temporary help with our 2 year old from experienced, reliable nannies until he started school. From date nights, to last minute coverage, this service will work with you to meet your needs. I'm looking forward to using their full time placement service when we are ready. I highly recommend Wee Care and will continue to use them weekly! Thank you for all your help!

I have used this service for about 4 years. It is fantastic! It is such a huge resource when I need a sitter in advance or last minute. I know that they will send an experienced, professional nanny and my kids will be in good hands. I have recommended this service over and over again to parents in need of help.
